Tamia Barnes Tomasek is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor who holds an Approved Clinical Supervisor designation in Maryland. She is licensed to practice in both the District of Columbia and Maryland. Renowned as a public speaker and highly sought-after therapist and mental health consultant, Tamia’s extensive experience includes serving as a Readjustment Counseling Therapist with the Department of Veterans Affairs for 12 years, where she specialized in treating combat PTSD and Military Sexual Trauma (MST). In addition to her role as a therapist, Tamia served as a National Consultant for Integrative Behavioral Couples Therapy (IBCT) at the Silver Spring Vet Center. Currently, she operates a private practice dedicated to helping individuals and couples embark on a journey towards self-improvement, addressing a wide range of challenges such as Anxiety, Depression, PTSD, and Sexual Trauma.
